Editorial Policy
Standards governing source documentation, specification verification, and corrections.
Source Evaluation & Documentation
Our editorial work relies on specification research rather than subjective product promotion. We evaluate manual brewing gear by cross-referencing available documentation across multiple public checkpoints:
- Manufacturer Schematics: Stated dimensions (millimeters, capacities in milliliters/grams), thread pitches, and burr geometries.
- Material Grade Declarations: Published supplier claims regarding food-contact surfaces, including 304 vs. 420 stainless steel, borosilicate glass thermal tolerances, and food-grade silicone ratings.
- Consumable Sizing Standards: Verification against common retail standards, such as standard V60-style cone papers, Kalita-style wave filters, Aeropress-compatible paper discs, and standard replacement O-rings.

Commitment to Accuracy
Overseas hardware listings often alter components, burr carriers, or included accessories without changing the listing title. When supplier documentation changes, or when an error in our specification summary is identified, we update the published article promptly.
Material or dimensional corrections are recorded directly on the affected guide to maintain an accurate record for readers.
